Summertime Sadness

The jackets are out.  Sleeves rolled down.  Slops and board shorts packed away.  Summer is gone and in it’s place it’s a sucky Winter.  Cold and miserable weather.  Autumn was still fine, seeing all the leaves changed into amazing crimson reds, flaming oranges and burnt sienna. But know they’re just dead.  Falling in piles, replaced by twigs and branches that stick out like bony hands from the barren soil.

What makes it even worse is we don’t get to see snow that often.  We just get the cold, icy winds that blow from the snow covered mountains.

So I’m having me some Summertime Sadness as sung by Lana del Rey.  Don’t worry, I’ll struggle through it because after every winter there is another Spring!
